Early Years Assembly

Early Years Assembly

In the early years, we couldn’t have been more proud of our children this week as little communicators as we presented our last assembly to the entire primary school. The children have shown endless amount of resilience as we practices over and over in the lead up to acting out the story of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” as well as some dancing and singing.

We realized that there are many ways to tell a story, and we decided to use interpretive dance to act out our chosen one and so much fun was had by all as we played different parts. Another way of communicating was through singing and dancing, we sang some fun songs which really entertained the audience! Everyone had a good laugh, but we definitely had the most fun making up all the dance moves in the preparation process.

However, the icing on the cake was when a few 4 year old children were able to speak into the microphone and told us what we have been learning in class. Their courage, confidence and open-mindedness to stand in front of such big audience and share these knowledge was touched by all and so heart-warming to see.
