End of Term Secondary Message
Goodbye and thank you from the Secondary School
A sad aspect of life in international schools in particular is that at the end of every school year inevitably we have to say goodbye some students and their families, and of course to some staff. We wish everyone the best of luck as they move on to new schools, new jobs and new opportunities.
Mr and Mrs Newton are leaving the school to take up exciting new posts in China. Sarah has served the school exceptionally well for 19 years and Mark too for 18 years. I am sure you would all like to join me in offering them both huge thanks for all they have done to develop NCBIS- they will be very much missed.
We are also very sad to say goodbye to Ms Gardner after nine years at NCBIS. Dulwich College in Seoul, South Korea has been lucky enough to appoint her as Assistant Head.
Mr Osborne and Ms Crisp are returning the UK after three years at NCBIS; Ms Sherlock is moving to India, Ms Laragione and Mr Lowe are returning to SE Asia having both secured positions in Malaysia, Ms Sheppard is moving to Thailand, Mr Tonkinson to Ecuador, Mr Szalay to Latvia, Mr Mathe to the UAE and Mr Mannan to a new post in Cairo. Sincere thanks and best wishes to you all.
As you already know, Mr Hurrell is also leaving the school after four years as Head of Secondary and one year holding the fort as interim Principal and seeing us through successful PYP reauthorisation and CIS re-accreditation. We wish him and his wife Felisa, who has also been a great support to the school, every happiness as they move on to the next chapter of their lives.
And finally it is also goodbye from me. Thank you for your support and I wish all at NCBIS every success in the coming years.
