Open Minded Dutch

Open Minded Dutch

Being open minded is a very important attribute of the IB learner’s profile. It means that you are interested in learning and experiencing new things and that you are willing to take other people’s suggestions into  consideration. It also teaches you not to judge too quickly and to consider all points of view. If all people in the world were open minded, we would have a better world!

That is why the Dutch Stream stimulates our students to be open minded. Role play is a nice example of an activity which trains students to be open to the suggestions of others. The pictures show a role play activity, which asked a group of students to cooperatively create and act out a story, based on provided attributes and costumes. The students practised discussing and making a compromise, which was a pleasure to observe.
